Commissioning, Training, Maintenance, and Operation of Sulfur Solidification Unit – Phase 2, Abadan Refinery
The Sulfur Solidification Unit in Phase 2 of the Abadan Refinery, with a capacity of 460 tons per day, is a key facility responsible for converting liquid sulfur produced in Unit 51 into solid sulfur.
This unit, launched by Ideh Tadbir Maham, brings several strategic and environmental benefits, including:
- Environmental protection by preventing the release of toxic liquid sulfur,
- Enhanced efficiency through optimal use of the refinery’s 210,000 barrels/day feedstock,
- Waste management improvement, reducing sulfur-related pollution, and
- Increased economic value of refinery outputs.
The unit is currently maintained and operated by experienced personnel from Ideh Tadbir Maham, ensuring safe and sustainable operations.
